H-Beam Weight Calculator User Guide
H-Beam steel is named for its H-shaped cross-section. It features excellent bending resistance, simple construction, and material savings. Widely used in industrial buildings, high-rise structures, bridges, and steel structure projects.
Supported H-Beam Types
- ✅ Series Types:
- HW: Wide flange (for columns)
- HM: Medium flange (for frames)
- HN: Narrow flange (for beams)
- ✅ Material: Q235B, Q355B Carbon Steel (density 7.85 g/cm³)
- ✅ Common Sizes: From HW100×100 to HW400×400
H-Beam Weight Formula
Weight (kg) = Section Area (cm²) × Length (m) × 0.785
Where:
- Section Area = h×t1 + 2×b×t2 - 2×t1×t2
- 0.785 is the simplified density coefficient (7.85 g/cm³ ÷ 1000)
Common H-Beam Theoretical Weight Table (Q235B, Density 7.85 g/cm³)

| HW150×150 | 150×150×7×10 | 40.55 | 31.9 | 382.8 |
| HW200×200 | 200×200×8×12 | 64.28 | 50.5 | 606.0 |
| HM250×175 | 250×175×7×11 | 49.22 | 38.6 | 463.2 |
| HN300×150 | 300×150×6.5×9 | 47.53 | 37.3 | 447.6 |
| HN400×200 | 400×200×8×13 | 84.12 | 66.0 | 792.0 |
