C-Channel Steel Weight Calculator User Guide
C-Channel steel is widely used in light steel structure buildings, warehouses, solar panel supports as purlins, wall beams, or support members. Accurate theoretical weight calculation is essential for cost control and material verification.
Supported C-Channel Types
- ✅ Material: Q235B, Q355B Carbon Steel (density 7.85 g/cm³)
- ✅ Common Sizes: C80, C100, C120, C140, C160, C180, C200, C250, C300
- ✅ Calculation Modes: Weight per meter / Total weight with length
C-Channel Weight Formula
Weight (kg) = Section Area (cm²) × Length (m) × 0.785
Where:
- Section Area = h×t + 2×w×t - 2×t²
- 0.785 is the simplified density coefficient (7.85 g/cm³ ÷ 1000)
Common C-Channel Theoretical Weight Table (Q235B, Density 7.85 g/cm³)
| Size (mm) | Thickness (mm) | Section Area (cm²) | Weight (kg/m) | 6m Weight (kg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| C80×40×20 | 2.5 | 4.98 | 3.91 | 23.46 |
| C100×50×20 | 2.5 | 5.58 | 4.38 | 26.28 |
| C120×50×20 | 2.5 | 5.88 | 4.62 | 27.72 |
| C140×60×20 | 2.5 | 6.78 | 5.32 | 31.92 |
| C160×60×20 | 2.5 | 7.08 | 5.56 | 33.36 |
| C180×70×20 | 2.5 | 8.18 | 6.42 | 38.52 |
| C200×70×20 | 2.5 | 8.48 | 6.66 | 39.96 |
