Galvanized Pipe Weight Calculator User Guide
Galvanized square and rectangular pipes are common hollow sections with hot-dip galvanized coating, offering excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and long service life. Widely used for railings, scaffolding, greenhouse frames, window/door frames, signboards, and steel structures.
Supported Pipe Types
- ✅ Square Pipe: Side × Side × Thickness, e.g., 40×40×2
- ✅ Rectangular Pipe: Long Side × Short Side × Thickness, e.g., 60×40×2
- ✅ Material: Q235B Carbon Steel (density 7.85 g/cm³)
- ✅ Surface Treatment: Hot-dip galvanized (4% weight increase included)
Pipe Weight Formula
Weight (kg) = (Outer Area - Inner Area) × Length (m) × 0.00785 × 1.04
Where:
- 0.00785 is the density coefficient
- 1.04 is the zinc coating weight factor (4% increase)
